Come learn how a small but dynamic nonprofit works and be part of our team to help advocate for faster, more frequent and dependable train service. MHSRA interns play a key role in fundraising, communications, events, research, general administration, and special projects in our busy advocacy office. Deepen your understanding of transportation policy and how a non-profit works while contributing meaningfully to MHSRA and the Midwest region.

This is a great position to polish your professional skills. You'll help us with:

  • Fundraising efforts
  • Maintaining our donor database and correspondence
  • Expanding our social media presence
  • Coordinating fundraising and other events
  • Writing articles for our bulletin, website and newsletters
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned

Candidates must have good computer skills, write well, and pay excellent attention to detail. This is an unpaid, volunteer position with flexible days/hours (approx. 15 hours per week).
