What We Promote: Airport Connections:
Gary-Chicago Airport - Gary, IN

The existing and planned routes to the east from Chicago pass just north of the existing airport terminal. The South Shore line from Chicago to South Bend passes to the south. The airport currently provides a shuttle service from the station to the airport.

Plans to lengthen the runways at Gary/Chicago airport have been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration. A railroad station has been an integral part of the expansion plans.
