What We Promote: Airport Connections:
Hopkins International Airport - Cleveland

Both the Cleveland-Chicago and the Cleveland-Columbus-Cincinnati corridors parallel State Route 237, which forms the southeast boundary of Hopkins International Airport.

A rail station could be linked to the airport's long-term parking deck from across SR 237 via an enclosed walkway. The parking deck is connected to the main airport terminal (and RTA Rapid) via a moving walkway.

The importance of this proposed link was illustrated recently when Continental Express announced plans to discontinue flights from Cleveland to Toledo, Fort Wayne, Flint, and Lansing -- points that could be served by rail -- on March 1, 2001 due to congestion at the airport.
