Safer Grade Crossings
Safety improvements on a 120-mile section of the Chicago - Springfield - St. Louis corridor have reduced grade crossing accidents.
Improvements included quad gates, new crossing surfaces and better signage. This successful program should be expanded to include all passenger routes in the state.
